Housed freewheel for alternating two-motor drives.
The AL..G is a bearing-supported roller type freewheel that is contained within a housing. Oil lubrication is absolutely essential.
This housed freewheel is typically used in alternating two-motor drives in equipment such as fans, turbines or pumps. The housing is designed to provide an optimised cooling surface and a large oil volume, thereby ensuring the safety of systems that run continuously without monitoring.
Elastic couplings are usually used to establish the connections to the driving and driven machines. During the overrunning process, an oil guide ensures hydrodynamic lubrication of the rollers in the freewheel. The specified overrun speeds are valid for a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C.
Additional air cooling is also available on request to optimise the operating conditions and improve temperature control.
